So in love!

Every time I see that gummy little smile, my heart literally melts! The first time he smiled I was changing his diaper on the sofa making the usual silly faces and sounds, then suddenly there it was! I nearly cried it was so cute! The other day I went out for a much needed spa day (thanks honey!) and left him with grammy (Chris’s mom). When I came home, he looked at me and gave a huge, knowing grin! He knows who I am! Moms, I know you’ll agree, there is nothing more heart warming than your little one’s smile and recognition.

I am ONE month old!

We were recently able to make some home improvements with the help from my mom. She always said if she could, she would "do this and that" to her childrens homes. So, when my sister and I recieved out inheritance, we decided what better way to honor my mom's wishes than to do just that! Chris and I were able to put new carpet upstairs, install hardwood downstairs, get new windows and FINALLY a new front door! In addition, we purchased a new sofa and dining table. I wish I had before photos to compare how blah and empty our house was before. My mom would be so happy and proud; I think she would have moved right in! Thank you mom for giving us the opportunity to make our house a HOME! I love you!

Ashton's First Walk

Today Ashton took his first walk! The clouds parted, the sun came out and I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to get out for a bit. We are fortunate to have a park a block away and it has a nice little path, so this was where we went. It was so nice to get out with my little man! He really seemed to enjoy it! He stayed alert and I like to think he was looking around!

My First Time

Hello All! This is my first time attempt at blogging. I figured, why not? So much has happened the past couple of years that this would be a great way to keep loved ones updated! What has happened you ask? Well, Chris and I got married June 24, 2006 at the Mission Inn in Riverside, we bought a house in June of 2008 in Duarte and had our little baby boy, Ashton Edward, on February 10, 2009; only a few major events amongst many more. And no, he is not named after Ashton Kutcher! Ashton comes from his paternal great-grandfather and Edward from his maternal great-grandfather. Come on! Anyway, I am currently on maternity leave with my little love bug and wonder how I will be able to survive going back to work? I have been busying myself with birth announcements, his baby book and all of the other wonderful things that go along with motherhood!
